The regulation method of the revolving speed of the computer comprises the following steps: an embedded controller receives a BIOS program write operation command which is sent by a BIOS processing unit and contains the type information of an electronic element, and stores the BIOS program into an embedded controller memory; the embedded controller carries out a read operation on the BIOS program stored in the embedded controller memory; and according to a result of the read operation on the embedded controller memory, the embedded controller selects a heat emission parameter corresponding to the type of the electronic element to regulate the revolving speed of a fan. The embodiment of the invention detects the type of the electronic element during starting up, the embedded controller selects the heat emission parameter corresponding to the type of the electronic element according to the type of the electronic element to drive the fan, the heat emission parameter corresponding to the type of the electronic element still can be selected when the configuration of the electronic element in the computer is changed, and the heat emission and the noise of the fan are caused to be mutually matched with the heat emission and the noise of the changed electronic element so as to better realize the control of the noise and the heat emission.
