Abstract

The invention relates to a traditional Chinese medicine used for treating chronic urticaria. The traditional Chinese medicine is prepared from the following raw medicinal materials in parts by weight: 15 parts of fructus kochiae scopariae, 6 parts of divaricate saposhnikovia roots, 10 parts of periostracum cicadae, 3 parts of mint and 9 parts of potentilla discolor. Urticaria is thought to be externally caused by attack of outer pathogenic wind which is blocked by skin and contained in blood, and internally caused by accumulated heat, which cannot be vented inwards or drained outwards and is accumulated in skin, in stomach and intestines, and is caused by both blood heat and pathogenic wind. Preferably, symptoms are treated through cooling and itching relieving, and the root cause is eliminated through blood clearing and wind dispelling. Therefore, the traditional Chinese medicine is made.
