Embodiment 1

[0032] Embodiment 1, modeling

[0033] 1. Definition of Behavior

[0034] Definition of Grooming Behavior: touching, rubbing, and combing the chest, back or underwings' own feathers with the beak.

[0035] 2. Behavior collection

[0036] The cage area is 1.36m 2 (length 1.70mx width 0.80m), each cage has a bracket, and a digital infrared video recorder (Model: BN-IPC4-3MD) is installed in the middle of the bracket, and its maximum resolution is 1920x1080. The height of the infrared video recorder from the bottom of the cage can be adjusted freely according to the cage area of the video and the clarity of shooting the test chicken. During the experiment, all broilers in the cages were recorded in real time, and the captured video was transmitted to the 24-channel digital hard disk router (NVR, Model: 6224k) storage device through the Internet for later behavior observation and data processing and analysis.

Embodiment 2

[0046] Embodiment 2, judging the thermal discomfort of the broiler to be tested

[0047] 1. Test materials and animals

[0048] Raise 150 broiler chickens of 1-21dAA (half male and half female) in the same feeding room, fed the same diet, the temperature in the first week was 32-35°C, and the temperature decreased by 2-3°C every week. 24h light, free access to food and water.

[0049] Select 144 22-day-old healthy AA broilers with similar body weight, half male and half female, equally distributed to two environmental control rooms, each environmental control room as a treatment, and three single-layer rearing cages in each environmental control room (Length 1.70mx width 0.80m) are placed in the same position, each cage is divided into two replicates on average, each handles 6 replicates, and each replicates 8 chickens (half male and female), random in each replicate Choose a rooster and a hen, mark their backs with biological non-toxic dyes of different colors, as test targ...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for judging hot uncomfortableness of broiler chickens according to grooming behavior time distribution. The method is used for establishing a model for judging hot uncomfortableness of the broiler chickens to be tested in a laboratory. The method comprises the following steps that (1) when the environment temperature to be evaluated is reached, the broiler chickens are fed for two hours, and the time for carrying out a grooming behavior of the broiler chickens to be tested in cages in certain time is detected; (2) the percentage of the grooming behavior is calculated, and the model for judging hot uncomfortableness of the broiler chickens to be tested in the laboratory is established; (3) the model is utilized for judging or helping to judge the hot uncomfortableness of the broiler chickens to be tested with the feeding condition of comfort temperature as contrast. The experiments of the method show that the grooming behavior of the broiler chickens under hot stimulation for two hours and the changes of time distribution of the grooming behavior can be measured, the hot uncomfortableness of the broiler chickens is judged accordingly, whether the temperature of the environment where the broiler chickens is located is high or not can be judged in time, and therefore measures can be taken in time to avoid decline of production performance of the broiler chickens due to hot uncomfortableness.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of biotechnology, in particular to the field of animal behavior, and in particular to a method for judging thermal discomfort of broiler chickens according to time distribution of modified behaviors. Background technique [0002] Heat stress is a stress factor often faced by modern intensive broiler feeding and management. Heat stress leads to a decline in production performance, disease resistance and economic benefits. House-fed broilers have the highest welfare, the least energy consumption, and the highest production efficiency when they are in the thermal comfort zone. Broiler production at home and abroad has already widely used electronic equipment and computers to precisely control the temperature in the house in order to achieve the best economic benefits. Therefore, it is very important to find suitable indicators and methods for thermal comfort evaluation. [0003] Currently used to evaluate thermal comfo...
