Embodiment 1

[0057] Embodiment 1, modeling

[0058] 1. Definition of Behavior

[0059] Classification according to head and limb position:

[0060] (1) Sit and rest with the elbow joint or the chest on the bottom of the cage, with the head hanging on the neck, standing still or swinging slightly slowly for a short time.

[0061] (2) Prone to rest with the elbow joint and the chest on the bottom of the cage, with the head lying on the ground or the bottom of the cage not moving.

[0062] (3) Stretching and resting. The elbow joint and the chest are on the bottom of the cage, and the wings on the same side (half or full extension) and one leg are extended to stand still or only the head has a short and slow slight swing.

[0063]Classification of total rest according to preference for spatial position in the cage:

[0064] (1) Rest at the edge of the cage wall The total rest when the shortest distance between the body and the cage wall does not exceed 3cm.

[0065] (2) Rest in other posi...

Embodiment 2

[0080] Embodiment 2, judging that the broiler chicken to be tested is hot and uncomfortable

[0081] 1. Test materials and animals

[0082] Raise 150 broiler chickens of 1-21dAA (half male and half female) in the same feeding room, fed the same diet, the temperature in the first week was 32-35°C, and the temperature decreased by 2-3°C every week. 24h light, free access to food and water.

[0083] Select 96 22-day-old healthy AA broilers with similar body weight, half male and half female, equally distributed to two environmental control rooms, each environmental control room as a treatment, and three single-layer rearing cages in each environmental control room (Length 1.70mx width 0.80m) are placed in the same position, each cage is divided into two replicates on average, each handles 6 replicates, and each replicates 8 chickens (half male and female), random in each replicate Choose a rooster and a hen, mark their backs with biological non-toxic dyes of different colors, a...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for judging hot uncomfortableness of broiler chickens according to resting ethogram time distribution. The method is used for establishing a model for judging hot uncomfortableness of the broiler chickens to be tested in a laboratory. The method comprises the following steps that (1) when the environment temperature to be evaluated is reached, the broiler chickens are fed for two hours, and each kind of resting behavior time of the broiler chickens to be tested in cages in certain time is detected; (2) the percentage of each resting behavior time is calculated, and a resting ethogram is established, namely, the model for judging hot uncomfortableness of the broiler chickens to be tested in the laboratory is established; (3) the model is utilized for judging or helping to judge the hot uncomfortableness of the broiler chickens to be tested with the feeding condition of comfort temperature as contrast. The experiments of the method show that the resting ethogram of the broiler chickens under hot stimulation for two hours and the changes of time distribution of the resting ethogram can be measured, the hot uncomfortableness of the broiler chickens is judged accordingly, whether the temperature of the environment where the broiler chickens is located is high can be judged in time, and therefore measures can be taken in time to avoid decline of production performance of the broiler chickens due to hot uncomfortableness.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of biotechnology, in particular to the field of animal behavior, and in particular to a method for judging broiler heat and discomfort according to rest behavior spectrum time distribution. Background technique [0002] Thermal environment comfort management of broilers is essential for modern industrialized broiler production. House-fed broilers have the highest welfare, the least energy consumption, and the highest production efficiency when they are in the thermal comfort zone. Heat stress results in reduced broiler performance, disease resistance and meat quality. Broiler production at home and abroad has already widely used electronic equipment and computers to precisely control the temperature in the house in order to achieve the best economic benefits. Therefore, it is very important to find suitable indicators and methods for thermal comfort evaluation. [0003] Currently used to evaluate thermal comfort ar...
