Abstract

A thickening agent composition and applications thereof in cosmetics are disclosed. The composition comprises sclerotium gum and PEG-240 / HDI copolymer bis-decyltetradeceth-20 ether which are adopted as thickening agents. In preferred embodiments, the weight ratio of the sclerotium gum to the PEG-240 / HDI copolymer bis-decyltetradeceth-20 ether ranges from 1:20 to 20:1. Applications of the composition in cosmetics comprising electrolytes are also disclosed.
