Abstract

The invention provides a detection apparatus for a surplus capacity of an electric locomotive storage battery. The detection apparatus is composed of a current acquisition unit, a voltage acquisition unit, a storage battery sampling device and a storage battery controller. A corresponding relation between an internal resistance value of a single storage battery in an internal resistance changing section and a surplus capacity of the single storage battery in the storage battery pack is prestored in the storage battery controller. According to the invention, when the electric locomotive runs and the storage battery pack is discharging, voltages and currents all the single storage batteries are collected; calculation is carried out to obtain internal resistance values of all the single storage batteries; and surplus capacities of all the single storage batteries are searched in the corresponding relation between the internal resistance value and the surplus capacity of the single storage battery. Therefore, detection of the surplus capacity of the storage battery of the electric locomotive is realized; accurate data can be provided for daily repairing and maintenance of the electric locomotive storage battery; phenomena of over charging and over discharging of the electric locomotive storage battery can be prevented; and thus the service life of the electric locomotive storage battery is prolonged.
