Embodiment Construction

[0017] The invention uses a strong-acid cation exchange resin to prepare hydrophobic activated carbon, which solves the problem that water vapor blocks micropores of the activated carbon and causes the VOCs adsorption capacity to decrease. If the obtained strong-acid cation exchange resin is in the hydrogen form, it can be directly dried for use (it can be dried at 105°C for 2 hours). If it is in the sodium form, it is necessary to convert the strong-acid cation exchange resin into the hydrogen form under hydrochloric acid conditions. (The conversion process is carried out according to the existing known technology, which is a conventional method), and it is dried at 105°C for use.

[0018] Take 10g hydrogen type strong acid type cation exchange resin in N 2 Put it into a tube furnace under the atmosphere for carbonization, and the temperature is controlled as follows:

[0019] ①From room temperature to 300°C, heat up at a rate of 10°C / min;

[0020] ②Stay at a constant tempe...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for preparing hydrophobic activated carbon by utilizing strong acid type cation exchange resin. The method comprises the steps of: carbonizing hydrogen type strong acid type cation exchange resin under the nitrogen atmosphere, wherein the temperature control is as follows: (1) the temperature is raised from room temperature to 300 DEG C at the speed of 10 DEG C per minute; (2) the temperature is kept at 300 DEG C for 30 minutes; (3) the temperature is raised from 300 to 500 DEG C at the speed of 5DEG C / minute; and (4) the temperature is kept at 500 DEG C for 60 minutes; and cooling the exchange resin to room temperature under nitrogen atmosphere to directly obtain hydrophobic activated carbon. According to the method, the activated carbon is prepared by utilizing lots of waste strong acid type cation exchange resin generated in industrial water treatment, the wastes are effectively utilized, the environment is protected, and the cost is low; and moreover, the prepared activated carbon has an advanced porous structure, is high in adsorption capacity and particularly has high hydrophobic performance, high saturated steam pressure is formed in the pores, the water vapor is difficultly condensed, and the problem that the VOCs (volatile organic compounds) adsorption capacity is reduced because the water vapor is condensed in the pores to block the pores is effectively solved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for preparing hydrophobic activated carbon by using organic resin waste (HW13) strong-acid cation exchange resin, and belongs to the technical field of hazardous waste utilization and activated carbon preparation. Background technique [0002] Activated carbon materials have been widely used in many aspects such as decolorization and water treatment because of their high specific surface area and strong adsorption capacity. However, the application of activated carbon for adsorption of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in exhaust gas is limited. One of the reasons is that water vapor and VOCs in exhaust gas will form competitive adsorption on the surface of activated carbon. For the surface of hydrophilic activated carbon, the hydrophilicity of its microporous surface will greatly reduce the saturated vapor pressure of water vapor condensation, resulting in the formation of liquid water in micropores and even mesopores...
