For the non-toxic adhesive, the formula of raw materials consists of a main agent and additives, wherein the main agent comprises following components: konjac powder, chitosan and polyvinyl alcohol; and the additives comprise sodium hydroxide, borax, phosphoric acid, nano-kaolin, urea and a degassing agent. The preparation method of the non-toxic adhesive comprises following steps: (1) firstly, dissolving polyvinyl alcohol in water, adding urea and borax, and finally adding chitosan and stirring until chitosan is completely dissolved to obtain a component A; (2) adding konjac powder to a sodium hydroxide solution and stirring until konjac powder is completely dissolved to obtain a component B; and (3) mixing and uniformly stirring the component A, the component B, the degassing agent and nano-kaolin to obtain the non-toxic adhesive. The non-toxic adhesive is environment-friendly and safe, high in bonding strength and good in water resistance; and the preparation method of the non-toxic adhesive is also simple and easy to operate.
