Abstract
The invention relates to novel corrosion-resistant mold steel which comprises the following chemical components in percentage by weight: 0.16-0.24% of C, less than or equal to 0.15% of Si, less than or equal to 0.15% of Mn, less than 0.015% of P, less than 0.005% of S, 12.00-12.60% of Cr, 0.13-0.20% of N, 0.03-0.08% of Ta, 0.30-0.37% of C and N, and the balance being Fe and unavoidable impurities. The invention also relates to a preparation method of the novel corrosion-resistant mold steel. The preparation method comprises the following steps of: smelting and pouring to form an electrode bar in a vacuum induction furnace; carrying out electroslag remelting so as to form electroslag ingots; heating and forging steel ingots into forging stocks; and carrying out annealing treatment on the forging stocks, wherein the ingots are heated to the temperature of 1100-1200 DEG C and kept for 1-2 hours before forging, and in the annealing treatment of the forging stocks, the annealing temperature is 830-860 DEG C, and the temperature is kept for 3-4 hours.
