Abstract

An operating method of a base station for error handling in fixed resource allocation of the present invention comprises the steps of: a terminal transmitting a first control message including fixed resource allocation information for transmitting an uplink data burst thereto; decoding the uplink data burst in a resource area allocated through the first control message; and determining whether the terminal receives the first control message on the basis of the decoding result.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to persistent allocation in broadband wireless communication systems, and more particularly to error handling in persistent allocation. Background technique [0002] VoIP traffic is characterized by being generated as a fixed size with a fixed period in the VoIP codec. VoIP communication can be divided into a talk spurt, in which a call is made between users, and a silence period, in which users are not talking but are listening. And silent periods occupy more than 50% of typical call sessions. [0003] In order to allocate bandwidths of different sizes to each of voice conversation peaks and silent periods, various types of codecs are used. And, a representative one of various types of codecs is AMR (Adaptive Multi-Rate) used by Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) and Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS). [0004] Since no voice data is generated during the silent period, resources are wasted if ...
