The system comprises a rich media content production system used for combining a plurality of rich media elements as the rich media content comprising a control channel and a data channel, a rich media content coding system used for coding the rich media content, generating a rich media flow, and transmitting the rich media flow through a rich media content transmission network, a rich media content decoding system used for decoding the received rich media flow and restoring the rich media flow as rich media content of the data channel, and a rich media content presenting system used for receiving and parsing the rich media content of the data channel and the control channel, and playing and presenting the rich media content of the data channel and the control channel. According to the system and the method provided by the invention, a form of expression of rich media is utilized better, and a rich media application scope is expanded.
