The invention discloses a wire grid-based shield machine cutter abrasion loss on-line monitoring device, which comprises a wire grid cutter abrasion sensor consisting of a resistance grid, a resistance grid base and a resistance lead plug, wherein the sensor is embedded in a cutter of a shield machine; the part of the resistance grid contacting the cutter is filled with epoxy resin to ensure that the resistance grid is insulated from the cutter; the part of the resistance grid base contacting the cutter is provided with a rubber pad, the rubber pad has a sealing function, and the resistance grid base is fixed with the cutter into a whole through a locknut; a cutterhead is provided with three signal amplifiers, the back of the cutterhead is provided with three transmitting antennae corresponding to the signal amplifiers; the inner wall of a soil pressure cabin is provided with receiving antennae corresponding to the transmitting antennae; and a shield engine cabin is provided with a signal receiving device.
