The intelligent public theftproof lock comprises a fixed pedestal; an inductor is provided on the front of the fixed pedestal; two ends of the fixed pedestal is provided with springs which are connected with clamping plates; an electromagnetic lock is provided on the upper end of the clamping plates and on the fixed pedestal; the electromagnetic lock is connected with the inductor and an information system processor which comprises a random signal generator, a storage processor, a scanner and a printer. An electromagnetic control device and an information processing system are provided in the invention; when a wheel of a bicycle is between the two clamping plates, the inductor is triggered, an electromagnetic locking device is started to lock the wheel, and a signal is sent simultaneously to the information processing system which randomly generates an identification signal stored in a memory device and recodes and prints the identification signal in a code; the printed code is functioned as a key to open the electromagnetic locking device, and when the owner of the locked bicycle wants to take back the bicycle, he only needs to put a paper with the code on a scanning window for identification so as to start an unlocking device and open the lock. Thus, the invention enables the problem of stealing of bicycles to be solved thoroughly.
