Abstract

The invention relates to a power supply unit with functions of open loop protection and short circuit protection, comprising a transformer, a power switch, a signal generation circuit, a conducting detection circuit and a delay circuit. The transformer is used for receiving an input voltage and generating an output voltage. The power switch is used for switching over the transformer to regulate and output a voltage. The signal generation circuit is used for generating a switchover signal to control the switchover of the power switch. The conducting detection circuit is used for detecting a conducting time of the power switch and generating a short-circuit signal. The delay circuit is used for counting a first delay time or a second delay time according to a feedback signal of the power supply unit and the short-circuit signal so as to generate a cut-off signal to control the signal generation circuit to stop and lock the switchover signal.
