Abstract

The method comprises the following steps of: a, setting a regular channel-switching menu unit; b, setting regular switching information in the menu unit by a user and recording the regular switching information in a memory card; c, reading the regular switching information from the memory card and inserting the regular switching information into a linked list according to a time sequence; and d, acquiring interval time between the current time and the switching time of a linked list head, starting a timer, and when the timer is timed out, switching to corresponding channels by using a system. By setting a regular channel-switching unit in the set-top box, the user can select the channels needing regular switching, the switching time and a switching period in the channel-switching unit. The set-top box regularly switches to the corresponding channels according to the set parameters of the user, and greatly meets the using requirements of the user.
