Abstract

The invention discloses data base backup recovery method and device. The method comprises the following steps of: backing up an older-version data base, wherein storing a table structure of the older-version data base; emptying the records of all tables of a new-version data base, and acquiring a table structure of the new-version data base; comparing the table structure of the older-version data base with the table structure of the new-version data base to determine whether the table structure is changed or not; and recovering the backups of the older-version data base to the new-version data base according to a change type and a corresponding preset strategy. The invention realizes the forward compatibility of data base backups recovery.
