Problems solved by technology

In contrast, with pneumometry by tensioning the measuring strip (strain plethysmography method), a much greater tensioning of the strip is required, which is uncomfortable for the patient
Independent of the measurement method, the strip can be worn under clothing, but must be connected via a cable to the signal processing electronics
Disadvantageous properties of the straps are, for example, that they slip off during wearing

Embodiment Construction

[0027] With regard to the following description, it should be noted that in different embodiments, elements of equal or similar function have the same reference signs, and thus the descriptions of these functional elements are interchangeable in the different embodiments described below.

[0028] figure 1 A schematic illustration of a garment 10 for detecting breathing motion of a living organism is shown.

[0029] Although reference is always made to the detection of breathing movements in humans in the following, embodiments of the invention are by no means restricted to humans, but may be applied accordingly to animals, in particular to mammals.

[0030] Said garment 10 is realized according to an embodiment of the present invention so as to be worn on the chest cavity of a human being or a living organism, respectively. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the garment 10 can be worn not only over the ribcage, but over the entire torso of a person. For exam...

Abstract

The invention relates to an article of clothing (10; 40) for detecting a breathing movement of a living being, wherein the clothing article can be pulled over the thorax of the living being, and has an electrical conductor (12) which can be integrated into the clothing article (10; 40) at the height of the thorax of the living being. Said conductor (12) is attached to the clothing article in sucha manner as to modify an electrically measurable characteristic (L; R) according to the thorax breathing movement. The clothing article also has a holder (14) for fastening evaluation electronics (16) which can be integrated into the article of clothing (10; 40), can be coupled to the electrical conductor (12), and which are designed in such a manner as to detect the electrically measurable characteristic (L; R), and which also have an interface to save or transmit data derived from the electrically measurable characteristic.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a device for monitoring changes in the movement state of living organisms, in particular to a device for detecting breathing movement of living organisms. Background technique [0002] The change in circumference at at least a portion of the human torso is referred to as the breathing effect. Typically, the respiration effect is measured at two locations on the torso, abdomen and thorax, mapped to a signal and stored. Respiration effects map the tensing and relaxing of the lung muscles separately. Changes in the breathing effect can also occur when there is virtually no breathing flow, which means that there is no exchange of breathing gases, which means respectively a tensing and relaxing of the lung muscles. Typically, however, breathing effects are associated with respiratory flow. [0003] For example, image mapping of respiratory effect signals allows physicians to directly interpret vital states of living organisms in ...
