The method comprises the following steps of: establishing a mapping relation between a chip channel of the EV-DO channel board and carrier frequency; monitoring the EV-DO channel board; and when detecting the fault of the EV-DO channel board, automatically removing unavailable carrier frequency caused by the fault of the EV-DO channel board to the chip channel of the available EV-DO channel board. The method, the device, the channel board and the base station adopt the mapping inside the channel and the automatic fault processing of the system, so after the fault is generated, the base station system can immediately perform self-processing on the fault and no-break of services is realized, and the reliability of the EV-DO channel board is improved and optimized.
