Embodiment Construction
[0015] In some embodiments, interference affecting local oscillators can be reduced by using the methods disclosed herein. These methods can be applied not only to low power transmitters, but also to medium to high power transmitters. With some embodiments, the VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) operates at integer multiples (N) of the desired transmission frequency. The VCO can be phase locked to an integer or fractional multiple of a stable reference oscillator (crystal oscillator). The VCO signal can be distributed to multiple radios at a higher frequency and an N-frequency divider can be used between the distribution amplifier and the Tx / Rx such that its mixer is based on a local oscillator (LO ) signal works. It is easier to resist interference in the VCO when the VCO operates at a different (eg, higher) frequency than the transmission used for the higher power segment. Additionally, techniques such as silicon isolation and the use of noise-immune inductors may also a...
