The macadamia shell extract in the invention can be obtained by the following steps: selectively grinding macadamia shell into 50-100 meshes, and baking for 5-24h on the constant temperature of 25-150 DEG C; extracting by 95% ethanol solution, wherein the weight ratio of the solution to the macadamia shell is 5:1, and refluxing for 17h on the condition of constant temperature; and filtering by a filtering method at the temperature of 35-60 DEG C, filtering until filtrate is clear and transparent by a 300-mesh cotton gauze, concentrating to be extractum to obtain the extract. The macadamia shell extract in the invention can be used as an additive to manufacture tobacco products.
