The water-solubility plasticine composition comprises polyvinyl alcohol, vinyl acetate resin, water, maltose, maltitol and cenosphere of which the grain diameter is between 5 and 100 mu m. The invention also discloses a preparation method of the corresponding water-solubility plasticine composition. The invention provides a new water-solubility plasticine raw material which has the advantages of light weight, no toxicity, no viscosity to hands, good toughness, smooth surface, difficult deformation, good handfeel, strong workability, easy obtaining and low cost.
