Abstract

The method comprises the following process steps: (1) a positive side of a blank piece of the plastic mobile phone press key is plated with a wear resistant layer, which is a film of TiO2 or SiO2 or ZrO2 or Al2O3 or diamond; (2) a back side of the blank piece is plated with a multicolor film layer, whichis alternately piled up by Ti3O5 and SiO2, or SiO2 and TiO2, or Ti3O5 and MgF2, or ZrO2 and SiO2, or ZiO2 and MgF2; (3) a colorful printing ink is needed for printing on the back side of the blank piece; (4) characters are processed on the back side of the blank piece. The back side of the blank piece is firstly plated with the alternately piling up multicolor film layer, and then a single metal film overlayer of Cr or Al or Sn is plated. The invention puts forward a manufacturing method of the plastic mobile phone press key with wear resistant surface and magic color. The color is generated bythe refraction or reflection of light rays with different wavelengths through the film layer according to optical principles.
