Abstract

The invention discloses an air-base mobile communication system and method, comprises at least a user terminal station, a satellite access network which is consisted of a plurality of satellites and a ground core network which is consisted of a plurality of said gateways. The user terminal station is used for establishing a wireless communication connection with the satellite access network and realizes the bidirectional data transfer. The satellite access network is used for processing and forwarding the communication data between two user terminal stations or between the user terminal and the gateway station. A route and exchange processing module, which is arranged in the satellite, is used for establishing a communication path between the satellites in the satellite access network. The ground core network is used for controlling and managing the whole communication system. The steps of the method are as follow: network registration, service application and accessing control, establishing communication connection, communication connecting maintenance and communication connection disassembly. The invention makes the satellite communication system much less reliable to the ground nodes, reduces the deployment of the ground control station and simplifies the function of the ground control device.
