Abstract

The method includes following steps: (1) in authentication process, kernel network sends authentication request to mobile user to indicate the user that international mobile equipment id and version number of software IMEISV is needed to report; (2) the mobile user returns authentication response including IMEISV to kernel network; (3) based on received authentication response returned from the mobile user, the kernel network carries out authentication; if success, fetching out IMElSV from the said authentication response and calculating international mobile equipment id IMEI; if failure, process is ended; (4) kernel network reports the calculated IMEI to equipment id center EIR, which carries out check up; (5) EIR returns checked result back to kernel network.
