The present invention relates to an infant changing pad system configured for changing the clothes and diapers of an infant and more particularly a changing pad system that includes an activity member held in contact with a changing pad. Optionally, the activity member is held in contact with the changing pad through the use of a base member.

A changing table is provided for engagement to a playard that includes at least one top rail. The changing table includes a support structure and a platform coupled to the support structure, the platform being sized to support a child. The changing table is configured to engage the playard. The changing table is configured so that, when the changing table is engaged to the playard, and an opening is defined at least in part by a portion of the changing table and a nearest top rail, a portion of the opening in a direction normal to the nearest the top rail is at least 9 inches.

The apparatus is a height adjustment assembly for a child's changing table with support tubes inserted into sockets at the top of a supporting structure such as a play yard. A height adjustment fixture external to the support tubes rests on top of the supporting structure and has a vertical series of recesses such as slots or holes and a ring through which the changing table's support tube slides. The changing table has an attached latching device that locks into the recesses to hold the table at several heights above the supporting structure. Alternate embodiments include a structure in which the height adjustment fixture contains the latching device and the recesses are in the changing table.

A co-sleeper is convertibly adapted for use as a changing table. The invention includes a frame designed to support a mattress pad or an enclosure at a predetermined height. The enclosure is sized and shaped to fit over the frame. The surrounding walls of the enclosure are of a first height while the front wall is of a lower height. The floor of the enclosure is slightly lower that the top surface of a parental bed. A mattress pad fits within the enclosure. A strapping means holds the co-sleeper to the parental bed. Support means for the mattress pad or enclosure include support bars that attach to the frame, a series of hangers that support horizontal bars while hanging from top rails of the frame, and panels and support rods fitted into pockets on the underside of the enclosure. The co-sleeper is height adjustable for variations in parental bed height.

A diaper bag having an integral changing pad is disclosed which comprises a bag having an interior compartment with the bag having a top portion and a bottom portion, a cover for covering the interior compartment with the cover attached to the top portion for folding the cover over the top portion of the bag, and a changing pad having a first section connected to a second section and the second section connected to the bottom portion with the first section and the second section for being folded up in the interior compartment or unfolded out of the interior compartment.

Apparatus and methods for changing diapers are disclosed. In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a bag member partially enclosing an interior region and an outer surface having at least one first securing member formed thereon. A changing mat is operatively coupled to the outer surface and has at least one second securing member formed thereon. The changing mat is deployable between a closed position wherein the first and second securing members are engageable and the changing mat occupies a stowed position proximate to the outer surface of the bag member, and an open position wherein the changing mat is unfolded to provide an elongated changing surface. The bag member remains substantially unchanged during deployment of the changing mat between the open and closed positions.
