The invention discloses an application of a traditional Chinese medicine composition in preparation of a medicine for preventing / treating inflammatory anemia. The traditional Chinese medicine composition comprises angelica sinensis, astragalus membranaceus, colla corii asini, leonurus japonicus and pericarpium citri reticulatae. Experimental results of influences of the formula on serum iron of normal mice and mice with inflammatory anemia show that the serum iron and iron-carrying saturation of the mice can be increased under physiological conditions; directed at an inflammatory anemia mouse model, the traditional Chinese medicine composition can inhibit decrease of serum iron and iron-carrying saturation caused by lipopolysaccharide, can significantly inhibit secretion of serum pro-inflammatory factors TNF-alpha and IL-6 of ACD rats, and can be used for preparing drugs for preventing and treating inflammatory anemia.
