Abstract

The method for determining the edge shielding interval of the hot-rolled strip steel comprises the following step (1) of acquiring an internal stress evolution rule of the strip steel in the width direction in a cooling process; and the step (2) of setting the edge shielding interval based on the internal stress evolution rule. According to the method, from the internal stress evolution rule of different positions in the plate width direction, edge shielding is carried out in the area with the phase change stress larger than thermal stress, the phase change process is slowed down, and therefore the relative expansion amount of the edge is reduced; the phase change stress is reduced, and the internal stress distribution non-uniformity in the plate width direction is reduced; and the edge wave defect is overcome.
