Abstract

The invention discloses an application of amitriptyline to preparation of a medicine for improving endothelial cell functions, and belongs to the field of medicines. The medicine for improving the endothelial cell functions comprises any one of the following medicines: a medicine for promoting eNOS phosphorylation and NO release in endothelial cells, a medicine for inhibiting an endothelial cell inflammatory response induced by TNF-alpha, a medicine for inhibiting generation of endothelial cell active oxygen induced by TNF-alpha, and a medicine for relieving endothelial cell inflammation by inhibiting an MAPK signal channel and activation of NF-kappa B. The invention discloses and points out an action mechanism of the amitriptyline in vascular endothelial injury and inflammatory response for the first time, and tests verify that the amitriptyline can inhibit the vascular endothelial injury and the inflammatory response so as to improve endothelial cell functions. The amitriptyline has a good application prospect for preventing cardiovascular diseases caused by endothelial cell inflammation and endothelial cell dysfunction, and opens up a new medical approach for preventing and treating cardiovascular diseases.
