Abstract

The invention provides polyferric sulfate and a preparation method thereof, and relates to the technical field of flocculant materials. The preparation method provided by the invention comprises the following steps: (1) mixing pyrite cinder with sulfuric acid, and carrying out high-temperature calcination to obtain a ferric sulfate curing material; wherein the mass concentration of the sulfuric acid is 60-90%, and the dosage ratio of the sulfuric acid to the pyrite cinder is (2-4L): (2-4kg); the temperature of the high-temperature calcination is 350-450 DEG C, and the time of the high-temperature calcination is 25-40 minutes; and (2) mixing the ferric sulfate curing material with water, and carrying out hydrolytic polymerization under a stirring condition to obtain solid polymeric ferric sulfate.
