The star sensor star point segmentation method comprises the following steps: acquiring a gray distribution matrix; obtaining a gradient component matrix of the star map according to the gray scale distribution matrix; processing the gradient component matrix to obtain a segmented star map; and solving a union set of segmented star maps obtained from two dimensions of rows and columns to obtain a star map. The method provided by the invention has the effects that the probability of star point false detection in a star map can be effectively reduced by adopting double gradient threshold segmentation; the method for solving the star map gradient through differential processing can effectively improve the detection capability of dark stars under complex background conditions. Meanwhile, branch gradient judgment is utilized, and the capacity of removing noise of the detector is achieved under the condition of high dark star detection capacity; a star point branch compensation method is adopted, gradient judgment is carried out on a star point branch window obtained through double gradient threshold segmentation to compensate for adjacent star point pixels, the star point pixel segmentation integrity of the star sensor is improved, and the precision of a subsequent star point extraction algorithm is improved.
