The sodium azulene sulfonate compound mouthwash is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by mass: 0.03 to 3 percent of an antibacterial agent, 0.003 to 0.3 percent of sodium azulene sulfonate, 0.36 to 9 percent of a solubilizer, 0.008 to 15 percent of a sweetener, 0.005 to 2 percent of a cooling agent, 0.005 to0.3 percent of cetylpyridinium chloride, 0.03 to 3 percent of a preservative, 0 to 5 percent of ethanol, 0 to 0.1 percent of a pH (potential of Hydrogen) regulator and the balance de-ionized water, wherein the antibacterial agent is domiphen bromide or chlorhexidine gluconate. The invention further discloses a preparation method of the sodium azulene sulfonate compound mouthwash. The sodium azulene sulfonate compound mouthwash provided by the invention has high product stability and long effective period.
