An outdoor unit of the system comprises a gas variable refrigerant flowunit and an electric variable refrigerant flow unit which are controlled uniformly by a controller of the system. The gas variable refrigerant flow unit and the electric variable refrigerant flow unit communicate through a line. An indoor unit of the system comprises a plurality of indoor unit modules which communicate to any outdoor unit through lines. A clock is arranged on a master control substrate in the controller. The gas variable refrigerant flow unit uses a gas engine to drive a compressor to operate for refrigerating and heating circulation. The electric variable refrigerant flow unit drives the compressor by electric power to operate for refrigerating and heating circulation. By taking the gas variable refrigerant flow unit and the electric variable refrigerant flow unit as outdoor units simultaneously and controlling the gas variable refrigerant flow unit and the electric variable refrigerant flow unit independently, the system is driven to work in different time periods by using different energy sources by making full use of price difference of different energy sources, thereby creating advantageous conditions for improving the economical benefit.
