Problems solved by technology

The 3dB axial ratio bandwidth of the circularly polarized antenna with single-port excitation is about 1%, which cannot meet the requirements of broadband wireless communication; the multi-feed point excitation method can only realize the circular polarization of a single antenna unit, and cannot realize the antenna composed of multiple antenna units Circular polarization of the array; the design of circularly polarized antennas using the multi-element method is complicated. Although the circular polarization of the antenna array can be realized, the 3dB axial ratio bandwidth obtained by this method can only reach about 50%.

Abstract

The invention provides a dual circularly polarized patch array antenna based on broadband balun feed. The dual circularly polarized patch array antenna comprises a first dielectric substrate, a seconddielectric substrate and a third dielectric substrate which are stacked from top to bottom. An antenna array composed of a plurality of antenna units is arranged on the upper surface of the first dielectric substrate. An annular feed network is arranged on the upper surface of the second dielectric substrate. A first microstrip balun and a second microstrip balun are arranged on the lower surfaceof the third dielectric substrate. The two feed points of the first microstrip balun are respectively connected with the annular feed network through two coaxial probes. The two feed points of the second microstrip balun are respectively connected with the annular feed network through the remaining two coaxial probes. The multi-feed-point excitation method is utilized to realize the dual circularpolarization characteristic of the antenna array, and the introduced annular feed network is used as a medium to realize weak coupling so that the complexity of antenna design is reduced and the 3dBaxis ratio bandwidth of the antenna is greatly improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of antennas, in particular to a dual circularly polarized patch array antenna based on broadband balun feeding. Background technique [0002] At present, the methods for antennas to achieve circular polarization generally include single-port excitation method, multi-feed point excitation method and multi-element method. Although the circular polarization of the antenna array can be realized, the 3dB axial ratio bandwidth obtained by this...
