Abstract

The invention relates to a seat of the type which can be installed on a vehicle in which a floor and a ceiling are defined, the seat comprising: a backrest; a seat comprising two side portions and anintermediate portion positioned between the side portions, wherein the intermediate portion protrudes forwards with respect to the side portions to allow a person to sit on the seat in a substantiallyupright position; and a support structure. The support structure comprises in turn: at least two uprights to which the backrest and the seat are connected; first connection means for connecting, in use, the at least two uprights to the floor; and second connection means for connecting, in use, the at least two uprights to the celling, in such a way as to distribute, in use, the load of the seat,partly on the floor and partly on the ceiling. The invention also relates to a set of seats of the type which can be installed on a vehicle in which a floor and a ceiling are defined, and also a vehicle comprising at least one seat of the above-mentioned type.
