Problems solved by technology

Therefore, when the pedestrian changes the movement mode, the error of the step counting result will increase greatly, so the traditional step counting method not only has low step counting accuracy but also cannot adapt to the pedestrian's movement mode

Embodiment Construction

[0055] The present invention will be further described below in conjunction with the embodiments and the accompanying drawings.

[0056] Such as figure 1 As shown, the step counting method that the present invention proposes specifically comprises following 7 steps:

[0057] Step 1. Preprocessing of acceleration data;

[0058] Step 2. Obtain the zero point set S1 of the acceleration data according to the zero-crossing detection method;

[0059] Step 3. Obtain the prediction range of the next peak-to-valley value according to the period constraint;

[0060] Step 4. According to the dynamic time warping (DTW) constraint, refining the prediction range obtained in step 3;

[0061] Step 5. Search for the most value within the forecast range obtained in the step, which is the next peak or valley;

[0062] Step 6. Convert the detection results of the peak value and the valley value into the detection results of the zero point to obtain the predicted zero point;

[0063] Step 7. Ac...

Abstract

The invention discloses a novel step counting method based on an accelerometer. The novel step counting method comprises following steps of first, pre-processing acceleration data; second, acquiring azero set S1 of the acceleration data according to a zero crossing detection method; third, acquiring a prediction range of a next peak-to-valley value according to period constraint; fourth, refiningthe prediction range obtained in the third step according to dynamic time warping constraint; fifth, searching a maximum or a minimum, a next peak or valley, within the prediction range obtained in the fourth step; sixth, converting detection results of the peak and valley into a detection result of zero point, and acquiring a predicted zero point; and seventh, eliminating fake zero points in S1according to the predicted zero point, and acquiring a real zero set S2, wherein every two zero points in S2 are recorded as one step. The method solves a problem that a pedestrian counts steps in different motion modes, has high practicability in real life and has a bright application prospect.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of indoor positioning, and in particular relates to a novel step counting method based on an accelerometer. Background technique [0002] Pedestrian Dead Reckoning (PDR) is an indoor positioning technology, and it has been paid more and more attention by researchers with the development of MEMS. PDR technology uses inertial sensors embedded in mobile smart devices, such as accelerometers, magnetometers, and gyroscopes, for positioning. The basic principle of PDR technology can be divided into three aspects: step counting algorithm, step size estimation algorithm and heading angle estimation algorithm. Since the missing or false detection of step counting will directly lead to a positioning error of one or several steps, an accurate step counting algorithm is very important. [0003] At present, commonly used pedometer algorithms mainly include two categories: peak detection method and zero-crossing detection method....
