Abstract

The invention relates to composition for preventing and treating osteoporosis as well as a preparation method and an application of the composition. The composition is prepared from the following rawmaterials in parts by weight: 1-20 parts of propolis alcohol extract, 1-20 parts of bee pollen water extract, 10-70 parts of modified pectin powder and 1-20 parts of colla corii asini powder, whereinthe propolis alcohol extract is prepared from a propolis raw material in a 70%-75% ethanol solution by reflux extraction for 2-4 h under the heating condition at 70-75 DEG C and by freeze-drying and pulverizing; the bee pollen water extract is prepared from a bee pollen raw material in distilled water by extraction for 2-4 h under the heating condition at 80-95 DEG C and by freeze-drying and pulverizing; the modified pectin powder is obtained from a pectin raw material by alkaline hydrolysis or enzymolysis and has molecular weight of 2,000-30,000 and esterification degree of 5%-35%. Cell, animal and clinical experiments prove that the composition has very obvious effect of preventing and treating osteoporosis.
