The overhead cam mechanism comprises a cam and a cam shaft used for fixing the cam. The high-efficiency and noise-reduction inversion small double-cylinder generator set is characterized in that a synchronous belt transmission mechanism and an air guide transmission cavity containing the synchronous belt transmission mechanism are arranged onthe side, away from the generator, of the engine, wherein the synchronous belt transmission mechanism is connected with a crankshaft of the engine and the overhead cam mechanism; the synchronous belttransmission mechanism comprises a cam shaft belt wheel fixed to the cam shaft, a crankshaft belt wheel fixed to the crankshaft, and a belt connected with the belt wheels; and a suction type impelleris arranged at the center of the cam shaft belt wheel, and the shell wall of the air guide transmission cavity is provided with an air inlet opposite to the cam shaft belt wheel and an air outlet opposite to the crankshaft belt wheel.
