The method comprises the following steps: performing training according to the pixel gray value of a reference object in a training set and the true color information of the reference object to obtain the corresponding relationship between the pixel gray value of an image captured under the conditionof environmental spectral information and the true color information of the image; receiving a current photographed image of the imaging device and current ambient spectral information of a spectral probe balanced with the center of the optical axis of the imaging device; analyzing the current photographed image to obtain the gray value of each pixel of the current photographed image; obtaining apixel gray level compensation value of the current photographed image according to the corresponding relationship between the pixel gray level value of the photographed image under the current environmental information and the true color information of the image; obtaining a restored image of the currently captured image according to the pixel gray compensation value of the currently captured image and the gray value of each pixel of the currently captured image. The invention can quickly and accurately restore the image color.
