Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for detaching radial electronic components (101) from a component tape (102). The device comprises a cutter (103) for cutting leads (104) of a radial electronic component (101), a limiter (109) for aligning the radial electronic component (101) with respect to the cutter (103) in a first direction, and means (110, 112, 301, 401) for arranging a body (111)of the radial electronic component (101) against the limiter (109). The invention also relates to a method for detaching radial electronic components (101) from a component tape (102).

Background technique [0002] Component tapes are widely used in the electronics industry to carry axial and radial electronic components (such as resistors, capacitors, and inductors). Axial electronic components are attached between two component tapes, while radial electronic components are attached to only one component tape.
