Abstract

The invention discloses a fixing device for a displacement meter for civil engineering structure experiments and a method of using the fixing device. The fixing device comprises a main support and anadjuster; the main support includes a main rod, a fixing seat and a U-shaped seat; the tail end face of the fixing seat is provided with a first threaded hole in concave manner; the first threaded hole can be connected with a stud that is fixedly connected to a test object; the U-shaped seat and the adjuster can cooperate to clamp the displacement meter; therefore, the fixing device can help tightly connect the test object, the fixing device and the displacement meter, loosening of the displacement meter during an experiment can be effectively avoided, and measurement errors due to unexpectedloosening of the displacement meter are prevented. The fixing and the test object can be bolt-connected through the stud welded to the test object and the first threaded hole of the main support; thestud can be placed at any part of the test object so that resting of the displacement meter is facilitated; measuring points are more flexible to set during an experiment.
