Embodiment Construction

[0027] Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below. It should be emphasized that the following description is only exemplary and not intended to limit the scope of the invention and its application.

[0028] refer to Figure 1 to Figure 4 , in one embodiment, a controlled drug release contact lens, comprising a semipermeable membrane layer 1, a water-absorbing swelling layer 2, a water-impermeable elastic membrane layer 3 and a drug storage layer 4 arranged sequentially from bottom to top, The drug storage layer 4 has a storage chamber 45 for storing drugs and micro-channels 41, 42, 43, 44 for drug outflow, the semi-permeable membrane layer 1 is in contact with the cornea, and the semi-permeable membrane layer 1 Allow moisture in tears to enter the water-absorbing swelling layer 2, the elastic film layer 3 isolates the storage chamber 45 of the drug storage layer 4 from the water-absorbing swelling layer 2, and the water-absorbing swelling layer 2 a...

Abstract

The invention relates to a corneal contact lens achieving controlled drug release. The corneal contact lens comprises a semipermeable membrane layer, a water-absorbing expansion layer, an impermeableelastic membrane layer and a drug storage layer which are arranged in sequence from bottom to top; the drug storage layer is provided with a storage cavity used for storing drugs and a microchannel allowing the drugs to flow out, the semipermeable membrane layer makes contact with the cornea, and allows water in tears to enter the water-absorbing expansion layer, the elastic membrane layer isolates the storage cavity of the drug storage layer and the water-absorbing expansion layer, when the water-absorbing expansion layer absorbs the water in the tears to expand, the storage cavity is compressed through the elastic membrane layer, and the drugs can be lowly released to the eye through the microchannel. Accordingly, drug release is conducted on the eye in a non-invasive mode, and pain of apatient in an operation is avoided; drug release is achieved through imbibition actuating, and can last for longer time, and more and diverse drugs can be stored.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a corneal contact lens with controlled drug release. Background technique [0002] Common eye diseases such as keratitis, conjunctivitis and glaucoma have brought many adverse effects on people's lives. In the course of drug treatment, eye drops are commonly used. However, this drip administration method has many disadvantages. First of all, the tear film covered on the cornea will dilute the concentration of the administered drug; secondly, the continuous secretion of tears will cause the drug to be lost too quickly; finally, the dripping of the drug often brings discomfort to the patient. Studies have shown that during drip administration, the retention time of the drug in the tear film is only 2-3 minutes, and the administration efficiency is as low as 1%-5%. This is because when the eye drops enter the eye through the conjunctiva, most of the eye drops will pass through Conjunctival capillaries enter systemic blood circu...
