The method comprises the steps ofacquiring rotational frequency, a d-axis self-inductance coefficient, a d-axis damping winding inductance value, a q-axis mutual inductance coefficient, and a q-axis damping winding inductance value,calculating a d-axis subtranient potential and a q-axis subtranient potential, calculating an overall subtranient potential, acquiring a stator winding inductance parameter of the synchronous generator, determining a stator state equation, acquiring a rotor state equation of winding magnetic linkage, acquiring a rotor motion equation of the winding magnetic linkage, and establishing the VBR electromagnetic transient simulation model of the synchronous generator according to the stator state equation, the rotor state equation of the winding magnetic linkage and the rotor motion equation of thewinding magnetic linkage.
