Abstract

The invention discloses a multi-resolution image display method based on staggered grids. A manner of the staggered grids is utilized to establish three types of staggered-grid image tile pyramids onthe basis of a traditional image tile pyramid, and a corresponding image tile pyramid is selected according to an actual display situation for loading and display. The method mainly comprises the following multiple steps: designing an image pyramid hierarchy and tile size; making a Gaussian pyramid of an original image; establishing the traditional image tile pyramid; using a staggered-grid methodto establish the staggered-grid image tile pyramids; calculating and selecting an image pyramid type index and tile row and column numbers; and loading corresponding tiles according to the tile typeindex and the row and column numbers for display. Compared with existing display methods, the method of the invention reduces memory overheads of the system, increases image loading speed, controls the number of the tiles, which are loaded on a screen, to not exceed four, and ensures stability of memory use quantity.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an image display method, in particular to an image multi-resolution display method based on an interlaced grid. Background technique [0002] High-resolution large-scale images often have a very large amount of data, which can reach the GB level. Displaying it directly will take up a lot of memory resources, and the loading time is long and the operation speed is slow. A common display method for this type of image data is to process the original data, create an image pyramid tile file, and load the corresponding tile according to the position of the viewpoint during the display process for display. However, there are several problems in the actual display process: [0003] 1. The image is segmented by the traditional segmentation method, and the size of the obtained tiles is often larger than the screen size, so that the maximum number of tiles that need to be loaded on the screen is 4. However, the data volume of a single ...
