[0022] The single-frequency laser light source emits light with a wavelength of 632.8nm, passes through a multimode fiber (core diameter 62.5μm, length 5mm), enters a straight double-core fiber, and inputs the light passing through the double-core fiber into the linear array CCD, and the end of the double-core fiber The distance to the CCD is 0.2m, select the highest point X of interference fringes on the image 1 ;

[0023] Bending the dual-core optical fiber to a certain radius of curvature R, input the output light into the linear array CCD to obtain a new interference pattern, and take the highest point X of the interference fringe 2 , record X 2 point to X 1 point distance,|X 2 -X 1 | is the offset when the radius of curvature is R, and the offset obtained from the CCD is 0.008m;

[0024] According to the derived formula, the radius of curvature can be calculated to be 10m.

Abstract

The invention discloses a bent sensing method based on a twin-core optical fiber. Two optical fiber cores in the twin-core optical fiber are symmetrically distributed in the twin-core optical fiber, coherent superposition is produced in a space when two beams of light identical in frequency, stable in phase difference and having mutual parallel vibration components pass through double holes according to a double-hole interference theory, so that light energy is re-distributed in the space to form a series of light and shade interlaced interference fringes, and the double cores in the twin-coreoptical fiber rightly simulate the double-hole structure. When a single-frequency laser source passes through the twin-core optical fiber, the interference fringes are produced on a receiving screen.When the twin-core optical fiber is bent, optical path difference changes compared with the optical path difference when the fiber is not bent, and accordingly the positions of the highest points ofthe interference fringes displace to form displacement quantities. Therefore, displacement quantities are read from the receiving screen, and the radius of curvature can be derived reversely. The bentsensing method has the advantages of being simple in structure, convenient to measure, low in cost, high in sensing precision and the like.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of optics and optical fiber sensing research. Based on the dual-hole interference theory combined with the excellent bending characteristics of the dual-core optical fiber and the precision linear array CCD for data reception, a new bending sensing method based on the dual-core optical fiber interference theory is proposed. Background technique [0002] After decades of development, fiber optic sensors have made significant progress in research, design, and manufacturing. Optical fiber sensors have many advantages, such as low production cost, compact structure, high sensitivity, anti-electromagnetic interference, chemical corrosion resistance, can be embedded in engineering structures, and easy to cascade, etc. Therefore, optical fiber sensing technology has received more and more attention. [0003] Optical fiber sensing uses the light transmission properties of optical fibers to convert the changes to be measured i...
