A powder is prepared from baicalin and acceptable ingredients, and is added into fodder tobe blended for feeding chicken according to everyday fodder quantity; or baicalin is prepared into a baicalin water soluble powder to be dissolved into water to feed chicken according to everyday fodder quantity. Animal infection experiments indicate that the anticoccidial index (ACI) of baicalin can reach more than 175, and the baicalin has preferable resistance to eimeria tenella, therefore, anovel application of baicalin medicine is provided.
