The method includes the following steps: step S1: a plurality of groups of experimental data of basic magnesium borate whiskers prepared from bitter brines in salt lakes are used to train PSO-optimized BP neural networks; the experimental data includes preparation parameters and experimental results, and the number of experimental data groups is greater than or equal to 100; step S2: the PSO-optimized BP neural networks trained in the step S1 can give optimized preparation parameters and predict the whisker ratio with the change of physical and chemical properties of the bitter brine in the salt lakes; and the optimized preparation parameters are adopted to prepare the basic magnesium borate whiskers. The PSO-optimized BP neural networks are used to digitalize the experimental data and provide an optimum experimental scheme for the production of the whiskers from the bitter halogen at any time and accurately predict experimental results, so that the waste of a large amount of manpower and material resources caused by groping experiments is greatly reduced.
