Abstract

The invention provides a ship speed estimation method and system of a polarization SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar). The method includes: S1, using a target detection algorithm to detect ships in a scattering full power image of a main image of a to-be-detected area; S2, for each detected ship, using the ship as a matching window to move the matching window in search windows of slave images of the to-be-detected area to acquire a polarization matrix similarity value between a main image block and each slave image block in the matching window; and S3, combining SAR imaging parameters to acquire aspeed of the ship according to a difference value of a center position of the main image block and a corresponding position of the slave image block corresponding to the maximum polarization matrix similarity value. The method of the invention is simple, and can precisely acquire speeds of the ships.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the field of image processing applications, and more specifically, to a method and system for estimating the velocity of a polarimetric SAR ship. Background technique [0002] Since the reform and opening up, my country's economy has developed rapidly, and maritime transportation has also developed rapidly. Ships have developed rapidly in terms of quantity, tonnage, and speed, and are developing in the direction of standardization, large-scale, and modernization. However, with the prosperity and development of ship shipping, while obtaining great convenience, the frequency of shipping accidents (ship collision, ship hitting rocks, etc.) is also increasing. These accidents seriously affect the smooth navigation of ships and the safety of people's lives, and at the same time pose a serious threat to the ecological balance of oceans and rivers. Therefore, automatic identification and speed detection of ships on the channe...
