Abstract

The invention discloses an active composition based on camphor and n-octyl alcohol. The active composition is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 30 to 60 parts of the camphor, 15 to 50 parts of the n-octyl alcohol, 5 to 30 parts of nonyl aldehyde and 2 to 18 parts of linalool. The invention further provides a chilo suppressalis attractant composed of the active composition and a non-volatile organic solvent, and a chilo suppressalis lure for packaging the chilo suppressalis attractant in a mating disruption thread. The active composition disclosed by the invention can be used for directly luring female moths and male moths of chilo suppressalis; the control efficiency on the chilo suppressalis is higher than that of a sex attractant and the active composition can be used for trapping and killing a large amount of the chilo suppressalis, remarkably reducing the quantity of chilo suppressalis adults in the field and reducing the population density of descendants. The active composition also can be used for predicating the chilo suppressalis and the quantity of attracted and trapped insects can accurately predicate the population dynamic of the chilo suppressalis.
