Abstract

An embodiment of the invention provides an NNI (nitrogen nutrition index) estimation method and device. The method comprises the following steps: initial data, including canopy spectral reflectance, above-ground plant biomass and above-ground plant nitrogen concentration at each sampling point, of summer maize is obtained; the NNI of each sampling point is calculated according to the initial data; fitting coefficients for a normalized spectral index and the NNIs are calculated through a plurality of default fitting functions respectively, wherein the default fitting functions comprise a power function, a linear function, an exponential function and a logarithmic function, and the normalized spectral index is obtained by combining any two wave bands in a default spectral band range; a target spectral index and a target fitting function corresponding to the maximum fitting coefficient obtained through calculation are selected; an NNI estimation model is generated according to the target spectral index and the target fitting function.
