Abstract

The invention relates to a composition for assisting reduction of blood sugar as well as a method for preparing an oral liquid beverage, a solid particle beverage or an effervescent tablet. The composition comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 20-50 parts of mulberry leaves, 10-20 parts of male flowers of eucommia, 10-20 parts of leaves of Cyclocarya paliurus, 5-10 parts of corn silk, 5-10 parts of astragali roots, 5-10 parts of Phaeoporus obliquus, and 5-10 parts of Dendrobium officinale. Raw materials are weighed, decoction with water is carried out twice in order to obtain an extract, L-arabinose is added for adjusting the taste, filtering, disinfection and filling are carried out in order to obtain the liquid beverage; the extract is condensed, a proper amount of maltodextrin and L-arabinose are added, and after spray drying, the solid particle beverage is obtained; the solid particles are divided into two parts, wherein one part is prepared into acidic particles, the other part is prepared into alkali particles, acidic and alkali particles are separately dried and added into polyethylene glycol 6000 with uniform mixing, and after tabletting and sterilizing, the effervescent tablet is prepared.
